 1. Go to settings (from the guide screen press left twice and click the gear icon)

 2. Then go to playlist

 3. Then click add playlist

 4. Click Xtream Codes

 5. Server Code enter 2

 6. Enter PLTV username & password

**If you currently have the Platinum TV app downloaded or any other TiviMate app, you will need to uninstall it before installing the new app.

**This is not required to do if you are happy with your current app, however, this new app has the capability to have all 3 services (PLTV, VOD, and Platinum TV) on the same screen with out having to switch users or go in between apps.

**Do this for each service to update your playlist regularly: 

From PLTV app, go to Settings on main screen, click Playlists, select whichever playlist you prefer or want to update first, scroll down and select Update interval hours – change from 24 to 2, then click Update App on Start and make sure it’s toggled green.

 

**Remove unwanted sections or categories:

**Organize your Playlist for less clutter:

**Add your favorite channels, movies, or TV series:

Create a shortcut to your favorite channels, movies, or TV series by selecting the channel, movie, or TV series, then hold the center button on your firestick for half a second or so, an options menu will pop up on the right. Scroll down and select Add to Favorites. Now, the selected channel, movie, or TV show will be in your Favorites section at the top of all categories under that particular service.

 

**How to see the PLTV app as the 1st app on your Firestick app suggestions:

To make PLTV app the first app you see on your Firestick Home Screen, go to Your Apps & Channels from the Firestick Home Screen, up top next to Settings (the icon has 3 boxes and a + sign). Scroll down until you see the new PLTV app (or the Platinum TV app may show up if you just deleted it) Click the button on your remote with the 3 lines, click the center button to MOVE, press up until you have dragged the new app to the top box and then just click the center button. When you click the Home button, the new appall be the first app on your Firestick Home Screen and easily accessible.

***Buffering is 99% of the time, an Internet issue.

– Clear cache on app (Press the home button on remote…. Go to settings…. Go to Applications on the device…. Select the app and clear cache.

– Restart your router and device (unplug both of them for several minutes…then restart)

– Try a VPN to mask your IP address from your internet service provider. If you do not have a VPN, we suggest getting one. There is a free option listed on the next tab down. 

– Do a speed test. Download Analiti speed test from Amazon store (The magnifying glass in the upper left corner on your Amazon home screen) or from Google Play Store.  Make sure you are getting the speed you pay for (It should show at least 80% of what you pay for)

– Make sure you are not using more connections than what you pay for. If installed on multiple devices…. Make sure you back each device all the way out to the home screen before shutting down.

– If you are using your Internet providers router, consider getting your own. Routers are the most important part in your network.  Get a router that covers more than the square footage of your home. Replace out dated router… They get out dated within several years. If you have a multi-level home consider getting a mesh router. One with multiple nodes that you can stagger throughout your home and even hardwire multiple streaming devices to.

 – Upgrade your streaming devices. Get one that you can hardwire. (This is BIG improvement)

 

Download Proton VPN to your firestick

 

• Click Find icon 🔍 on Firestick Homescreen, type Proton VPN
• Download, Open app

—Next, on your phone, computer, or tablet, go to protonvpn.com/signup

 

• You will be prompted to pay for the VPN, but scroll down a little bit and you will see in very small letters “signup for free”
• Click “Continue with VPN free”
• Create your account with an email address
• Use generated password or create your own
• You will be prompted to download Proton VPN, but just hit “Close”

—Go back to your Proton VPN app on the firestick and sign in

 

• You will be prompted to go to the Proton VPN website to verify with code
• Once completed, scroll down and select the US, Canada, or any country you’d like, then check the Server List at the bottom of the screen. Look for a free server with a lighter server load with a green dot. The reason a VPN doesn’t always work is bc the server is overloaded and will lead to buffering.

 

**You may need to disconnect from the VPN when watching other streaming services such as Netflix, Disney +, etc…

 

**You can use Proton for free but will only receive the VPN for 1 streaming device per email address. So, if you have multiple TVs, and want this for free, you will need to create a different Proton VPN account for each streaming device.

To Disable AT&T Active Armor Internet Security (for Fiber/Internet)

​This service is associated with your Wi-Fi Gateway/modem.

​Use the Smart Home Manager App:

​Open the AT&T Smart Home Manager app.  

​Look for a Virtual Chat or Chat icon (often in the upper right corner).

​Type the command: Disable ActiveArmor

​Follow any on-screen prompts or confirmations.

​Check Gateway Settings (Alternative/Confirmation):

​You may also be able to check or disable the status in your gateway settings, often under Firewall or Security Options.

 

 

If you log into the PLTV app and it shows 0 channels and no guide…. That almost always means you have logged in with the wrong username or password. Make sure that you verify that you’re using the correct username and password that was emailed to you (Not the username and password that you use to log on to the website). Please check your spam mail if you do not see this email.

-While on the guide

-Press and hold the select button

-A menu will appear on the right and go to settings

-Then go to playlist

-Click on the playlist and go down and delete

-Then click ‘Add New Playlist” and make sure to verify the username and password is correct with the email that was sent
